RINA Academy Philippines Inc. held its Recognition Day for the Batch 25- Cadetship Training Program last 16th of November 2018. There were forty six (46) total cadets consists of twenty eight (28) Deck Cadets and nineteen (19) Engine Cadets, who completed the sixty (60) days intensive training.

Forte Succeso is the name of the Batch 25 Cadets which means Strong Achiever. Being graduated from the academy has been a great challenge as they were assessed and trained to be prepare on the duties on board the vessel.

The programme has attended by RINA Employees headed by Managing Director Capt. Nicolo Terrei, managers and staff from two Affiliated Manning Agencies namely Elburg Shipmanagement Philippines Inc. and Augustea Ship Manning Philippines and the graduates from the Batch 25 Cadetship Training Program.

During the programme, our respective Instructors / Assessors, managers and selected employees provide an inspirational message for the cadets as they will be assign to go on board assigned vessel.

With this recognition day, cadets have the chance to prove their acquired knowledge and skills as the Managing Director of the academy had asked some questions they have learned thru their intensive trainings.



The academy headed by Managing Director, Capt. Nicolo Terrei, welcomes Mr. Yannis Stratakis,Owner of A.M. Nomikos, one of the acquired Principal of the academy's Affiliated Manning Agency under Elburg Shipmanagement Philippines Inc. on the 3rd of November 2018.

The activities presented during the visit includes the presentation of the academy's offered services such as Competency Management System, Career Development Plan, Cadetship Training Program, STCW Courses and the In-house Training Courses thru web portal presentation; site tour to the facilities of the academy showing its faculty and classrooms, simulators dedicated to Bridge, Engine, LCHS and ECDIS training.

Seafarers of the fleet had the chance to meet and greet Mr. Yanis through a classroom discussion about crew safety on board and practices.



The 2018 Safety4Sea Conference was attended by delegates from the shipping industry together with our Managing Director,Capt. Nicolo Terrei, as one of the guest speaker held in Eugenides Foundation, Athens Greece.

Our Capt. Terrei talked about the Competence Management System as one of our offered services to our clients. He mentioned that the "Competence Management System is quite old: We have been talking about this in the last 70 years but now it becoms more actual. Competence Management System consists of defining critical competencies: for each rank / shore based position, of different vessel types and laying down the guidelines,assessment method for each competency, and building the right training plans to address specific competence gaps."#SAFETY4SEA

The delegates are also there to witness the announcement of the 2018 Safety4Sea Awards from different categories such as the Sustainability , Initiative , Technology, Tanker Operator, Dry Bulk Operator and the Training Award which previously awarded to RINA Academy Philippines as the 2017 Safety4Sea Training Award.
